Synopsis

Like any good ghost story, Bella Muerte incorporates all of the right ingredients: a scene set on dark and dreary night and a pair of young characters madly in love with each other. It is on this very dark and dreary night when the two youths chance to meet. Ethan, a partying college student, stumbles through the shadowy depths of urban isolation and notices in the silhouette of a flower-shop Aria, a girl who will change his life forever. A lonely, troubled girl, Aria harbors feelings of remorse that are heightened by the tragic death of her sister and the emotional turmoil at the hands of her controlling mother. Luckily, this chance encounter brings Ethan to Aria's aid and the unlikely pair manages to comfort each other through difficult times. But, can their young love survive in this topsy-turvy world where nothing is as it seems? This hauntingly dark play draws a murky line between the realms of sleeping and wakefulness, reality and illusion, truth and falsehood, day and night, and the living and the dead.

Review: RE:bella muerte by kg02143

nice concept & would probably make a good novel, but as a play....too disjointed, especially the whole first half. Difficult to tell past, present &future, might do much better if there were an invisible ghost doing some narration/scene intro during first half. Aria ,two ghosts & Elizabeth were great!
